Espanola Valley Closure

Dear Friends and Family in Our Community,

After careful and thoughtful consideration, the management team at Espanola Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation has made the difficult decision to permanently close our facility effective December 31st, 2018. Today is truly a sad day for the Espanola Valley Family, the Santa Fe community, the residents in our care and for the employees who have cared for so many community members throughout the years.

The decision to close was not made lightly, but was truly brought on by circumstances beyond our control. We have made every attempt to find an alternate operator but unfortunately, we were unable to do so. The New Mexico department of health has approved the closure and is working with Espanola Valley on relocation plans for the remaining residents who still reside in the building. As of November 1st 2018, we will institute a stoppage of any new long-term care admissions into the facility. We are also working with our staff on other employment opportunities.

We want to again express our profuse gratitude to the those who have dedicated their time and service to Espanola Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation throughout the years.
